Managing Change in 60 Seconds with Ronald M Allen

Title : Pathetically apathetic - July 2012

The State of your mind is measured by how curious you are about life. Did you read Alice in Wonderland? Writers of prose, satire, fact and fiction tell of the state of our culture. Throughout time, citizens from every nation were limited in what they could say and write about the social, economic and human conditions they lived in.

Today the majority of citizens still do not get it. Learning information, acquiring knowledge and applying it to one’s life is to push the frontier of our thinking and actions beyond the old barriers to new boundaries.

I quote W. H. Auden 1907 – 1973 “We would rather be ruined than changed. We would rather die in our dread than climb the cross of the moment and let our illusions die”.

The illusion of progress is tested by the liberty the citizen takes in the street. So what mental dragons have you to slay? What apathy of the mind have you come to terms with? How lethargic has your world become because you have forgotten to be curious. How numb are you?
